Pre-training principle
Ensure a pre-training before you start, so your student does not start the actual course as a layman. In a short introductory session, you discuss the important basic principles, so that your student can start the real course with confidence. Pre-training is especially important for students who are not yet familiar with the subject. In this way, the amount of new material reduces, and the probability of a working memory overload is smaller. It goes without saying that a pre-training will have the greatest effect on students with little prior knowledge.
