Added value of a digital learning environment
As described there are a lot of possibilities and gradations, ranging from free, in the cloud, to about free-but-don’t-underestimate-the-installation. Another possibility: free and outsourcing the implementation and management to third parties, to a paid license of the learning environment and installation on their own servers. Even in that case there are often several suites or modules.
It is beyond the scope of this project to guide the choice of a particular platform. In addition, you will probably not decide on the purchase of a learning platform yourself. This is something that can best be decided at the organizational level.
