Development · Overview
The module ‘Development’ focuses on the creation of digital learning objects and the framing of these objects in a certain structure.
It also addresses the question of whether you develop yourself and, if so, with what software tools you could do this. You could start from existing material or you can convert or make your own material.
The term ‘digital learning environment’ is explained and an interpretation is given as to which aspects are important when choosing a CMS, LMS or LCMS.
Based on a number of exercises and cases studies, we put you to work.
After completing this module, you will have reached the following objectives:
- Understanding the factors to determine whether to develop it yourself or not
- Understanding the concept of ‘digital learning environment’
- Understanding the aspects that come along when developing digital learning material: copyright, searching for material and how to evaluate,
- You can convert your own material to digital material, with the use of the right type of software tools that are available for it
This module builds on the insights from the ‘design’ module. It is therefore necessary to go through this module before starting the ‘development’ module.
